The point-of-view alternates between the two main characters, both likeable but definitely an opposites attract situation. Emil is basically a Marine and Kit is the teleporter who skirts the law using his ability to make money. I liked the romance mostly because the angst on both sides seemed realistic and the plot was not set up as a thin excuse for endless sex scenes.
I was very happy that they did get to their HFN ending after a lot of ups and downs. The only real complaint I have is the aforementioned diversity of characters. A lot of them are thrown at you quickly right near the beginning of the book so keeping everyone straight in my head was tough. Don't get me wrong, I did like the diversity of the cast. It was just a lot of information to keep up with and I often found myself pausing to sort the characters out in my head. I'll be reading the other title in this series as well as taking a look at the author's other books.

If you ever wondered how teleportation works, this is the best explanation I've seen so far. Starting book 2 right away. This book had a really interesting plot consisting of inter dimensional travel, that only a select few are able to naturally do, and a sinister corporation bent on studying and trying to control it using less than ethical means.
The cast of characters that become tangled up in this adventure were certainly memorable. This book is nothing else like I have every read in this genre. The story is compelling, although there are a few holes, hence the reason I didn't give it 5 stars. The characters are well developed, and the plot is interesting and creative.
An all around good, solid read. An engaging adventure of a job gone wrong, a fantastic bit of falling in love and lots of great clothes. This is weird and wonderful and fun.
